This newsletter was born to help white people develop a more critical perspective regarding how Black Lives haven’t mattered in the United States. The goal was to support a more thoughtful, truthful, heartfelt, and effective white response to racism. Over time, the newsletter changed to include gender equity and the education gap.

*Cara Mia is Italian for “my beloveds.” It’s a reference to who my parents hoped I would become and a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr’s Beloved Community.
